Compare

In my other life I do not go to school but in this life I go to school. In my other life I help make brew where in this day it is a legal. Sanitation back then was a problem unlike today where we have indoor plumbing and sewer systems. Government in my other life was feudalism which started with a king ruling over everyone and went down a hierarchy of power, which is some what like today where we have a president, senators, representatives whom make our laws and rules. Back then they had to pay taxes on demand and now we pay them once a year. In my other life we had to do whatever the king ordered us to do, we had no rights, but today we have rights and freedoms to do and say what we want. Yes a barn can catch on fire but not by the making of brew.

event

Albin his mom and dad come over for a party at my house last Saturday night. They just came over to try our latest batch of brew when we smelled something burning. Albin said, "you smell that," " yah" I said, "where is it coming from". "over here," my bother said. I guess during the malting process the room got to hot and the barley got to dry and caught on fire. So every one runs for the well and I started pumping. But the well was dry. Albin saw a barrel and was going to use that on the fire. When I saw him with the barrel and he was running for the barn I said, "NO THAT IS BREW!!" But he did not hear me and dumped it on the fire. Nobody saw him but me and all of a sudden a big exploration came from the barn and everyone turned around. Albin came running out and said, "that was not water!"Then the barn burned down and we lost everything in the fire.

Culture

I hang out with Albin. We go hunting and drink. Our meals consisted of fruits, veggies, game, home made bread and some times fish. We drank mostly ale and cider because the water is unclean. I live in a small town that was built on trade. Our roads need a lot of work, they are narrow. Sanitation is a constant concern, open drains run along the sides of the streets. We have curfew bells that rings between 8 and 9 o'clock, that tells us it's time to stop work at the brewer. My house is on a hill surrounded by farm land where we grow our barley.

Government

Government in England was feudalism, which was not only a government but a way of life and a kind of society. the government was a way to settle disputes. under feudalism everyone was under the kings control through a hierarchy of authority. Everyone had a ruling power over them except the king, whom they owed loyality to. They had to pay taxes when ever the king asked for them. I disagree with that law. The law of the land was for security. Christianity is my religion. There was conflict between the lower class people and the government because the lower class people did not think it was fair that they had to pay taxes to the king when he wanted them too.
